Think about a time that you were kind to a friend or a family member.  Write a story about the special event.

The leaves whisked around my feet on a crisp October morning as I strolled over to my friend's house to help her clean her yard.  "Good Morning!" I shouted as she waved from her front porch.  Tons of cigarette butts, cans, and broken glass had been dumped by someone the night before.  Newspapers stuck to the fence like waving flags.
In a flash, I hurried to pick up the trash.  My friend grabbed a plastic bag.  I noticed a wilted lettuce leaf stuck to my hand.  "Here.  Use these gloves," my friend offered.
Without saying another word, I grabbed a rake.  Little pieces of paper and tin cans skittered under the prongs.  My friend picked them up with a shovel.  After a few hours, she announced, "This last little bit and we're done."
All of a sudden, her mother delivered boxes of tiny plants.  BEEP!  BEEP!  Look at all the pretty flowers!" I exclaimed.  My hands reached for the first flat of pansies.  We planted all the flowers and sat down to rest.
For the remainder of the afternoon, we sat on my friend's front porch, enjoyed the flowers, and listened to the birds.  My friend thanked me for all my kindness and help.  I just smiled.
