Harsh thunder roared and white lightning flashed in the dark sky.  Big gusts of wind blew large tree branches and trash around the old house.  Dark clouds gathered and began to drop rain on the dry ground turning it into brown mud.  An old man ran passed me on the sidewalk to the old house.
When I reached the porch, my eyes turned to look at the big storm.  The rain poured down in such thick sheets that I couldn’t see the curving street in front of my house.  I looked at the heavy rain and the dark clouds and wished that the big storm would go away.  Then, I shook my head, opened the heavy door, and went quietly inside.
